S&NC's second revenue freight rolls SB on the reactivated ex D&H Sanford Lake Branch The train is about to cross Rt 28 in the Town of Indian Lake, Hamilton County at milepost SL 24 (24 miles from Sanford Lake). This scene was unimaginable a few years ago as there was concern the main line from Saratoga to North Creek would be torn up. There was absolutely no hope this branch deep in the Adirondacks would be reactivated. Seeing a train with an S2 in D&H paint passing MP 24 is a D&H fans dream, never mind its hauling freight for only the second time since 1989.
