Coming up a short grade east of Andover, the Hornell Turn passes through a valley awash in early Fall colors. The engineer may not be appreciating the scenery right now as he has power issues to deal with. The lead engine has been temperamental the entire trip and he finally cut the unit out about a mile west of here and moved into the trailing unit to control the train. The conductor is in the lead unit to blow the horn and spot.
