The Troy Grove local continues south through Afton Township, Ill.

The Troy Grove Local has just switched off of the Geneva Sub and onto the Troy Grove Sub in DeKalb, Illinois with a GP40-2 in the lead.

The Troy Grove local heads southwest near McGirr, through the open farm-fields of Northern Illinois. UP GP40-2 1417 leads the way, followed by UP SD70M 4804 and a whopping two cars for Troy Grove.

It is last light on the Troy Grove Sub. UP 1038 and crew have made it across the BNSF diamond in Earlville. Here, the train is crossing Highway 34 as they bust through yet another plow line.
