In about a month or two a shot like this on 226 will likely be impossible as all 24 ES44's should be here and in service. But for now I enjoy GP40-3's on an intermodal train.
A double rarity, FEC 226 with two champs, with a long hood forward leader and about 4-5 hours late on the normally on time FEC. Suspect one motor failed and they had to swap.
Two big M's and an SD40-2 lead 101 through Colfax on a pleasant afternoon. The first 3 of the 24 GE's that will replace these motors are expected during the first week of November.
