The brakeman sprints ahead to line switches to get his coal train out of the yard and on the way to Georgia. Power on this day was pretty typical, a trio of U30Cs and a single SD40.

In just a few more yards, 2710 and its train will converge with the L&N's Evansville main to run past the west side of Amqui tower and head for Radnor Yard on Nashville's far south side.
