The railroad was abandoned but still in place. The track looked pretty good but this was the motive power, sadly derelict by the former best customer, apparently.

Looks like this former SP veteran has a new prime mover. Today it is resting in the quietness of the former Louisiana & Arkansas shops, now mostly unused buildings.

Peeking out from under bridge, this lead unit of a hump set was especially made for this job and probably still there today.

I really liked these hybrids. Odd that they had about the only dynamic brakes on the railroad until the SD-40-2s came along.
