The Iron Range is starting to come back to life as the iron ore pellets start to move again from the taconite plants of northeastern Minnesota.

A somewhat ugly old I.C. engine leads 111 brand spanking new CN/DM&IR ore cars down the Iron Range Subdivision towards Two Harbors, MN after loading at the U.S. Steel Minntac plant.

Forty loads of coal cruise down the Iron Range Sub. towards Colby, MN and the Laskin power plant headed by DM&IR 212 and GTW 6221.

The last Missabe Maroon painted tunnel motor works the Keenan Switch. With all the mines being shut down temporarily, this was the only CN Missabe job on the range today.
