Guided by a few N&W CPL dwarf signals, the power for the NS 233 heads back into the Portsmouth Yard.

A couple trains sit at the west end of the Portsmouth Yard, waiting there turn to depart and head up the Columbus District.

The conductor of the yard job carries a end of train device back to the truck, as the yard crew works on moving a cut of empty Top Gons.

The 194 splits the signals, and rolls through the Spring Ln grade crossing, while a railfan pauses to watch the train roll by after taking his photo.

The CSXT 8075 provides the sole power for this empty hopper train, as it rolls under the intermediate signal bridge on track one, at MP 5.5, on the Northern Sub.

The NS 233 pulls into the yard to join a few more that eventually will make there way up the Columbus District.

All fueled and recrewed, the 17M heads out from under the Harmon St overpass, as another train waits its turn in the background.

The NS 852 having just begun its trip from Portsmouth to Columbus, heads out of town west on the eastbound main, about to head under the US 23 overpass.

Full moon shines over the NS Kenova District at the west end of Portsmouth. Classic N&W CPL's still in use in this area, but you get outside Portsmouth and its all new junk from what I seen.
