Still guided at the moment by the NW CPL's, the NS 233 rolls under both the new and the old cantilever signal, soon the code line, and the CPL's will all be history.

The NS 218 which generally you always can count on to have a Dash 9 leading, today has a SD60E leading, as it heads over the US 52 bridge in Portsmouth.

The NS 9899 leads a train of coke around the bend, and behind the Scioto County Sheriff's Department, on the Columbus District.

Eastbound Q385 rolls down track 1 by the new MP 5.5 signals. Previously, there was a C&O signal bridge here.

The NS 17M heads west out from under the US 23 overpass, with a C40-9 with mismatched number boards leading.

In the late evening light the NS 218 arrives in Portsmouth and splits the CPL's at Spring Ln. The CPL's do not have much time left, as the replacement signals are already in place.

Having just departed the yard, the NS 17M begins its trip to Columbus. The old N&W cantilever signal will not be here long, as a new cantilever signal is standing just west of this spot.
