The SOUTHERN CRESCENT rolls westbound through Norcross on the last lap to Atlanta in an early morning scene. My 1972 Volvo 142 was still new.

There is ample power on the front of the PIEDMONT, Southern's secondary train to Washington. This area is all developed now with MARTA running beside and over the NS main.
