A pair of wrecked locomotives showed up at BNSF Casey Yard. The BNSF 8259 and BNSF 4526 were involved in a wreck at Keokuk, TX in July 2006 between the E-MLMRWM and Q-LACMEM trains.

One month old Amtrak SDP40Fs 509 and 517 lead the eastbound Texas Chief a few minutes after its 9:50am departure from Houston's Union Station.
Two SP FP7s and F7Bs depart SP's Houston station with the eastbound Sunset Limited. SP 6455 was sold to Amtrak in 1972 and eventually renumbed AMT 118.
