The local that works the CSX and Valdosta Railway interchange heads back into the yard after completing its work.

NS 330 with a nice consist of power heads north thru a wet and soggy downtown Valdosta. The ex-Union Pacific SD9043MAC is now NS 7290 and was on the previous days NS 229 from Ohio.

CSX mixed freight heads south along the double track at Crawford and is about to pound the diamond.

NS Atlanta bound 296 splits the signals at St. George with stacks as he is fresh out of Jacksonville, FL. The second locomotive is the Lackawanna heritage that had come down on NS 295 from Chicago... (more)

NS delivered the FRA cars overnight to the interchange for CSX to pick up later in the morning for a run on the Bowline. I just happened to be on my way home from work and found them!

Heading north on the straight and long Valdosta District, NS 330 is almost to Valdosta to swap crews.
