January 18, 2015. Here we have Amtrak's eastbound Southwest Chief #4 as it quickly traverses through Sands, NM on a chilly and sunny winter afternoon.

A long distance Amtrak train has just been turned and is now heading north towards Amtrak's coach yard, while a loaded train of Bakken Crude passes, coming off BNSF and onto NS.
