What a nice Christmas present I got! While waiting for the CPT - PE Premier Classe this lot of 7 locos came running past light towards Bellville, certainly not something that I see everyday!

A trio of 6Es (Tip: the 6Es have conventional bogies, the 6E1s have external torsion bars) grind up Malan bank with a loaded grain train.

The southbound JHB - CT economy train in Tulbagh Kloof

The wheatfields of the Western Cape are ripening fast and soon the farmers will be delivering grain to the silos. A trio of 6E1s delivers a block load of much needed empty grain trucks.

Beaufort West is the end of the line for these Cape Town based 3Kv Class 6E1's. The stretch from here to Kimberley is the stamping ground of the 25Kv Class 7E's.
