The "Day Gas" crosses the Flat Head river near Perma, MT on it's return run to Missoula.
After a 10 mph slow order for several miles, the train is finally back up to speed as they head west through Perma. Not visible in the photo is a MOW truck following on the tail of this train.

MRL #4408 leads the Night Gas along the banks of the Flathead River at Perma, MT en route to Pipeline at Thompson Falls.
The day gas rolls along the Flathead River on it's way back to Missoula with a 31 car train. It was nice to see an SD40XR 2nd out.

Needless to say, there's an endless amount of great shots on the 10th Sub. Luckily, a shortened track warrant for MOW ahead allowed us to get ahead for this one east of Perma.
