As storm clouds gather at the New Mexico border, an eastbound BNSF grain train makes it's way through Friona, TX, heading for Amarillo.

A mess of wires overhang the Metra Electric maintenance yard at 18th St. in Chicago's South Loop area, as several train sets await the evening rush hour.

Coasting in to Chicago approaching LaSalle St. Station, a Metra Rock Island run passes under part of the famous Chicago skyline as a few lake effect snow clouds hang over Lake Michigan.

The summer sun begins to dip below a few clouds on the horizon as a few locomotives are shuffled around in the Proviso Diesel Ramp. In the mix is a newly rebuilt SD60M, the 9908.

As the sun sinks below the horizon, an eastbound UP stack train heads for Chicago.
