This is a rare photo, because Metro-North very rarely couples any locomotives elephant style, let alone two locomotives on a two car train. That thing's gotta be like a rocket.
The New Haven FL9s were the last EMD F-Series locomotives built. Six still soldier on in Metro-North service, but others like this one will fortunately be preserved.
