Extra FEC 141 with ethanol
Here comes 101 on a warm and somewhat unsettled day.
FEC 230 winds through St. Augustine with an interesting consist. Trains 129/230 ran between Jax and Ft. Pierce making selected stops along the way. They no longer run.
FEC 226 on a brisk morning
FEC 226 ran with dual LNG set today something that seems to happen on Sundays and Mondays.
FEC 109 rumbles across the tropical waters at Jupiter Florida.
The time change allows one to shoot FEC 107 now and today's 107 head one of the LNG sets plus a EMD in tow.
FEC 900 ran yet again. I like this train you never know what power will be or what will be in the consist. 900 runs when there is extra stuff in New Smyrna to come north.
A rare late running FEC 210 gave me an opportunity to shoot this train in good light. It is exceptionally rare these days for a northbound to come through Bunnell in good light.
Three elephant-style ES44C4s lead 101 over Turkey Creek.
226 swings around a curve and across the San Sebastian River bridge in St. Augustine.
FEC 101 wheels into Bunnell on a warm and breezy day.
A beautiful morning in St. Augustine, FEC 226 reflects perfectly in the tidewater. Bonus was the FEC containers behind the motors.
A pair of year old FEC GEVOs lead northbound train 202 across the St. Lucie River on the last day of 2015, only 20 or so minutes before sunset. It was a fine day to be outdoors, and a small boat ... (more)
The FEC must cross numerous waterways on it's route. This crossing at the Tomoka river is one of my favorites.
