My first outing with a 20D produced this busy photo at CP Sharp. From left to right: 563, 10G, and a work train.
A fairly unusual move on the Conemaugh, NS 411 is an eastbound train of empty PPLX hoppers. If you look at the lower left corner of the photo, you can see the old tracks to the Brilliant Bridge. ... (more)
The freshly ballasted track is the Allegheny Valley Railroad's new line to Azcon Scrap. When completed, AVR trains will be able to reach Sharpsburg via the Brilliant Branch Bridge.
NS 213 with a very rare apperance for around here!
9148 eases to a stop at CP Sharp, awaiting passage of westbound C39.
C39 departs the yard and enters the Conemaugh main at Sharp. Today's train featured a long cut of gondolas, destined for Allegheny Ludlum.
18G rounds a bend and enters the interlocking at CP Sharp. Following the 18G was a 562 Shelocta train with four blue 80MACs!
After detatching from its train, the 9190 heads east on the single track to clear the interlocking before backing west towards Etna yard.
The 562 has encountered a stop signal at this interesting signal bridge on the Conemaugh Line.
