From ACL to SCL to SBD this unit has lately been reduced to yard service but this got it a fresh paint job. You can still smell the Imron.

Sadly only a single unit greeted us at what used to be a great B&O location. This one began its career on L&N and was later a Seaboard System unit.

This was a good catch when they came out with their deucedly clever new "image". I guess my memory must have failed me but I thought I saw this in Clifton Forge in 1970.

After years of watching these things on every UP train on Cajon Pass I can hardly believe I am glad to see them getting a new lease on life.

ACL only bought one SDP and this was it. It became SCL, then L&N, then SBD and wound up switching the yard in the coal country. How I would love to see a shot of this one in the glory days, hand... (more)
