I photographed this trainset PESA ATR 220 in transit out of service while expecting other subjects. Interesting to me as this train running in five Italian regions, but not in my Emilia-Romagna.

Waiting to enter service.

The dusk is falling on the Piave valley, as a couple of railcars climb toward Calalzo, passing a deserted Longarone-Zoldo station and inspiring strange photographic experiments to railfans…

ALn 668 railcars are still a daily presence in the scenic Cadore line, which climbs the mountains reaching Calalzo, at the foot of the Dolomites.
