DXB5074 rolls out of the Waitakere tunnel with a load of plantation timber from Whangarei. Thanks to John Russell for filling in the details on this working!

Train 125 from Whangarei crests the 2% grade from New Lynn to Avondale in Auckland's western suburbs. Distant Waitakere Ranges parkland has over 100 hiking trails.

DFT 7199 is assisted by DC 4300 (EMD G22AR) on train 125 from Whangarei. The 200km line passes through 13 tunnels and is rustic and scenic. Sadly it is without a certain future.

BN Train 125, with an A-B pair of F9s, heads north for Superior, Wis., leaving Northtown at Interstate. This was the only time I caught an A-B pair of Fs on a BN train.
