Knowing that the local would have to clear the line first. I knew I had a chance if I hurried I could pull this shot off. I was happy with the results.

Union Pacific 5284, 8030, and 8017 come off the Shafter Subdivision with an empty coal train. It was a nice Saturday morning for a change. So I went out looking for something to shot.

Under threating skies. Union Pacific 6145 leads three SD60M's and another C40-8's at Lakepoint, Utah, with a American Presidents Line stack train.

I was able to catch this eastbound with one of the new paint jobs. Unfortunately it was running second unit UP 6942. Actually there were two on the train, UP 6460 was in the mid train DPU's.
