All stretched out at Saint John, on the Lynndyl Sub. It's through this section the trains get up and haul 20 miles.

Union Pacific 7111 rounds the curve with the town of Stansbury Park, Utah below. In the distance is the Great Salt Lake, and Stansbury Island.

After grinding it out on the grade between Erda and Tooele. The train starts picking up speed again in Tooele (Warner) with a little restricted speed at Stockton. Then it's off to the races.

A race against the setting sun. Fortunately on this occasion the train did make it before sunset. It did set before the end of the train though.

It's a beautiful night, as the UP 7617 crosses Droubay road in Erda, Utah.

UP 8793 rounds the big curve at Lakepoint, Utah.

The closest thing to new power on the Union Pacific these days, are the rebuilds. C44ACM 5731 looks good with a newer coat of paint.

UP 2653 leads the MNPML on a Labor Day afternoon. It's always nice to catch a GE Tier 4 leading.
