Its 5am and Eastern Kentucky is waking up. The core of our galaxy is rising over the classic C&O cantilever that faithfully keeps its watch over the Big Sandy Subdivision, as it's done for over half a century, while water from the previous weeks of torrential rain pours off the side of a rock cut.
