Its 5am and Eastern Kentucky is waking up. The core of our galaxy is rising over the classic C&O cantilever that faithfully keeps its watch over the Big Sandy Subdivision, as it's done for over half a century, while water from the previous weeks of torrential rain pours off the side of a rock cut.
An ongoing/growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome, but seldom seen beauty of railroads because most of us don't go out after sundown or before sunrise. From dusk to dawn, lights are on! (And I continue to find new "Lights In The Night"!)
