Remarks & Notes
An old GE unit switches out Twin Rivers Technologies, a fatty-acid plant at the mouth of the Fore River. The tracks are adjacent to the old Fore River Shipyard, closed in the 1980s after producing battleships, destroyers, aircraft carriers, submarines, and LNG tankers. The line still has traffic from Twin Rivers and Bay State Fertilizer; it interchanges with CSX in Braintree.
