Remarks & Notes
An elder Norfolk and Western heritage locomotive. One of the 'Lost Engines of Roanoke', the 1151 is now part of the Virginia Museum of Transportation's collection. In the background is the east end of NS's Roanoke Yard where a couple locomotives representing a newer generation of motive power sit on this spring morning.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
