This old switcher was used for the Con Agra Plant, adjacent to the ore docks. It is now apparently left to rust into the landscape since the closing of the plant and loss of jobs and industry in the area. The unit has a stencil indicating it was once NYC 8263, and obviously saw service with Amtrak before coming to its final resting place.
A collection of engines, cabooses, cars, etc., great and small that are past their prime, but represent a spirit of railroading that will never pass away!!
