| CN ES44AC 3974 (CREX 1519) + CN C44-9W 2606 are the power for the Northern Ontario District (NOD) propane train. The 2606 had a mechanical issue and would be placed into trail with the 3974 now operating long hood forward. Outfitted with a pair of modified bulkhead flats this train operates on CN's NOD route between Toronto & Winnipeg fueling switch heaters and other wayside tanks. The bulkheads contain all the gear for pumping the gas from tankcars and then transfer into the trackside tanks making quick work across the territory. |
