| It didn't take much to freeze Hillsport Lake (foreground) as temperatures dropped for a few days. Off in the distance the much larger White Otter Lake only has a thin layer of ice creating a nice reflection. Its regular business on the high iron as a stack train from Roberts Bank, BC to Brampton, Ontario climbs the grade over the Laurentide Divide with 10796ft of container traffic and a GE on each end. This is the headwaters of the Pic River and towards the horizon streams flow to James Bay and the Arctic Ocean. |
