To Dover, the CNJ Way.
After hauling a shop move from the Meadows Maintenance Complex, NJ Transit GP40PH-2 no. 4109 is seen laid up in Dover Yard with a pair of electric motors - an ALP-46 and an ALP-46A. The locomotive is painted in a heritage Central Railroad of New Jersey scheme, which it actually wore when its career started with the CNJ in 1968. The CNJ did serve Dover via the Dover & Rockaway Railroad, though this line cuts through town a few blocks away.
