Train To The Sea..view. Under an arrangement that lasted for several years, on June 11, 2016, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority - MBTA MBTX 2032 (HSP46, MPI, 2013–2014) leads an 8-car train off of the Amtrak Northeast Corridor on to the Seaview Railroad in Davisville, Rhode Island for the annual air show at Quonset Airport. Thus set operated as a shuttle from Providence, Rhode Island Station, stopping at T.F. Green Airport Station and Wickford Junction before allowing guests to detrain at a temporary station at Quonset Airport. MBTA normally ends at Wickford Junction and the branch to Seaview is freight only. The road traffic here is literally bumper to bumper during the event, and the railroad is a welcomed alternative.
