Remarks & Notes
The Toltec Rattler Redux at Windy Point - worth the whole trip in one photo. To mark the 50th anniversary of their first photo charter, the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic RR ran 2 photo freights on Oct 24th and 25th, stopping at similar spots for participants. Sunday the 23rd was the last day of the regular season and in typical Colorado fashion, it was frigid, snowy, and windy as heck. But by the morning of the 24th the clouds were lifting over Cumbres Pass as the narrow gauge train made its way around Windy Point toward the summit in picture perfect light.

Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
