| Coming up from Two Harbors, DMIR 406 catches some sun as they pass by the wye used to access the Thunderbird South coarse crusher which came online in 1976 to help feed the Fairlane pellet plant. The Thunderbird South pit ceased operation in October of 1992 while the Thunderbird North pit continues mining to this day. |
