NKP 765 cruises northbound past the former Pleasant Lake freight station. This is the 1st run of the 1st day of the FWRHS running the 765 on the Indiana Northeastern Railroad. Thank you to the management team and owner of the INER for partnering with the FWRHS to run steam excursions.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
The Van Swearingen Brothers standarized freight power for their railroads with nearly identical 2-8-4 Berkshires. Two of these engines are still in excursion service.
