Manitou & Pike Peak Railway’s new trainsets are now cogging their way to the 14,115-foot summit of Pikes Peak. Built by Stadler Rail of Switzerland, each trainset consists of a diesel-electric locomotive and three passenger cars, with the last car equipped as a cab control car. In this view, a train departs the summit, trailing Stadler Rail Bt No. 27A cab car. The M&PPR reopened on May 20, 2021, after being shut down for nearly four years.
