D&SNG Alco DL-535E 107, ex-White Pass 107, powers the first Silverton Train of the day north. If you want to know why D&SNG is using diesels and oil burning steam locomotives, look at the fire-damaged mountain in the background. All of Colorado is suffering from an extreme drought this year.
