Missouri Pacific U30C 3311 in fresh Jenks Blue at the Jenks Locomotive Shop in N. Little Rock, AR November 1976. The 3311 was built in June 1970 as Texas and Pacific 971 and was wrecked in 1975 resulting in severe damage to the cab. This unit emerged from Jenks Shop sporting an EMD "Spartan" cab because the lead time to get a cab kit from GE was rather lengthy. MP had EMD cab kits on hand so a few GE units on the roster received EMD cabs. One MP U30C ran as a B Unit without a cab for a short time due to a motive power shortage until it could be fully repaired. J. Harlen Wilson Photo from my Collection.
