Remarks & Notes

In 1993, Central California was the place to go if you wanted to see Baldwin diesels at work. In addition to Amador Central, Sierra Railroad continued to get service out of elderly S-12 locomotives. An eastbound Sierra train nears Jamestown on a warm morning in August.
