Remarks & Notes

A fisherman takes a moment to look at the passing Pacific Surfliner train before going at it again. I sometimes compare fishing to railfanning as calculation and skill can only get you so far, and then the rest can be up to luck. There's also a fair amount of hurry up and wait, hoping you'll catch some action. I'd say I was having much better odds than he was this day. In the time he caught one fish, I caught several trains, but to each his own!
