Remarks & Notes |
British-built inspection cars. The Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario in Smiths Falls has a somewhat small but varied and interesting collection of Canadian railway equipment. In front of the ex-CN Station (built by Canadian Northern) they have two extremely rare Wickham inspection cars, the first CP M-297 and the second CN 23. They were built in Great Britain by Wickham Trolley and are two of only four Wickham inspection vehicles to be imported into Canada. They are bidirectional and able to hold up to nine people. In the distance at left in a garage is CP M-260, an inspection car built from a 1947 Cadillac. |
