A Canadian Pacific intermodal train sweeps through the curves entering Black Canyon, west of Ashcroft, British Columbia, on June 23, 2006. Only a single new General Electric ES44AC handles the train toward the west coast of Canada, since it’s downgrade all the way along the Thompson and Fraser Rivers. On the left, a glimpse of Canadian National’s parallel line along the Thompson River can be seen.
