| One of the DB class 01 pacifics rebuilt with a large boiler arrives at Cochem with the 12.40 'personen zug' from Koblenz to Trier shortly before electric traction took over. School children surge forward to catch their train home probably travelling only one or two stops to Eller or Bullay. Hard to think they will be in their late forties coming up to fifty now - I wonder how many of them look back to the time they went to and from school by steam train? |
