An ABBA set of F units lead a freight train through Columbus, Kansas. The F9 was remanufactured by EMD from an F3.

Probably Labor Day Weekend. Note this unit was built with regular (rail spreading) Alco trucks. Demoted to yard service the massive assemblage of tractive effort is assisting an inbound freight.
