An eastbound lumber drag on the Modoc Line is about to make a 180 degree change in direction at Indian Camp Loop. This train is around five miles into the climb from Likely to Sage Hen.

Led by a Union Pacific unit, an eastbound Southern Pacific train on the Modoc Line climbs the grade to Sage Hen summit. Ironically, UP's acquisition of SP would doom this trackage to abandonment.
