On a 95-degree hot afternoon, a BNSF Z Train heads west by the KC Union Station.
The DMIR 409 leading an empty pellet train up to Minntac to load. The EMD veteran was called into service when one of the Dash 8 units had an issue and was pulled out of the lineup.
As the sun sets on another day, CN 2107 has departed Largo and is the process of tying up vehicle traffic as they cross Highway 7 traveling south with rock from the mine heading to the plant.

Dodging clouds with rain and breaks of sun mixed in, a trio of BLEs haul limestone loads north on the CN Missabe Sub for the Minorca mine.
After hauling limestone up from Proctor to the Minntac mine, IC 6253 is backhauling 48 loads of chips and fines from the mine and shoving them into the yard at Keenan.
IC 6260 hangs out at the yard in Two Harbors waiting for its next assignment which is most likely a MRF (miscellaneous road freight) trip over to Keenan yard later on.
Working the yard at Two Harbors, CN 6017 is pulling empties out of the dumping shed and positioning them for a future departure.
