On a cold January night, four cars from a Stockton train derailed inside the J.R. Davis Yard in Roseville, California. The black tanker was originally believed to be carrying toluene, which is a toxic chemical if inhaled. Because of the toxicity, the Sacramento Metro Fire Department responded with the HAZMAT team. After investigation, it was found that the car did not pose a threat to the surrounding community and the scene was released back to Union Pacific. The derailment occurred around 6pm and by 10pm, UP has a number of cranes and dozers on scene. Here WRWK8383, which was empty at the time of the derailment, leans at a 45 degree angle. In the background, a yard local continues to work very close to the site of the derailment. jakemiillephotography.com
