| Remarks & Notes |
| No snow for Christmas, but a few days after a couple of inches finally fell, providing the opportunity to catch Amtrak's heritage unit #156 in a wintry scene crossing Buck Creek in Grandville, MI. On this morning, the locomotive is on push duty (NPCU leading) as it brings up the rear of the Pere Marquette, the daily train between Grand Rapids and Chicago. It's 8am, but still dark enough to give this scene a night time feeling.
