Remarks: The 315 crosses the trestle at Los Pinos. This was a photographers special with the train carrying the photographers running ahead of it. They sure missed a lot of photo opportunities.
Remarks: Here is a window to Chama. 489 does the switching chores while a storm passes over. A drop bottom gon is parked where the coal would be dropped so coal buckets would carry the coal to the top of the bunker to fill it up. On the other side of it is an ash pit. The cinders would be loaded into the drop bottom gon and then taken on the line somewhere and dumped for ballast. There are some small buildings and a water tank. The sand house provides sand for locos. It would be great to see all this operational again.
